DL Projects - La Fortuna della Fragilità
La Fortuna della Fragilità | Tommaso Spazzini Villa - Marcela Calderón Andrade at Galleria Mattia De Luca in Rome - Oct 8 - Dec 10 2022 - curatorial collaboration - Mattia De Luca, Jodie Petrosino and Marco Zindato
With LA FORTUNA DELLA FRAGILITÀ – a double-solo exhibition of works by Marcela Calderón Andrade (b. 1991, Pasto, Colombia) and Tommaso Spazzini Villa (b. 1986, Milan, Italy) – Galleria Mattia De Luca reopens its doors in Rome to launch its Mattia De Luca projects. This standalone experimental investigation of the contemporary artistic scene joins the now well-established commitment to the great names of the twentieth century art in Italy and around the world.

With Mattia De Luca projects, the gallery is opening up its spaces to artists, who are invited to show their studies in a completely free and open manner: an off project inspired by the idea of exploring works of art
that, by acting on today’s world, can help us understand it better. The project is a further commitment by Galleria Mattia De Luca in areas with no purely commercial aims, providing resources and know-how for
cultural initiatives linked to public projects, for the organisation of cultural events and for the support of curatorial research.
LA FORTUNA DELLA FRAGILITÀ, the first act in this project, started from a conversation between Calderón Andrade and Spazzini Villa, two artists who explore themes that range from impermanence to the impossibility of interpreting reality in an unequivocal manner, through to the allure of change and the creativity of Nature.
